Is the post bob close to the older Barbara Streisand bob? Or was that a pageboy? And in response to Emily, aw nuts! I have a roundish face and would love to pull off wearing a bob.

My face looks thinner and more attractive with shoulder length or longer hair. The bob doesn’t suit me, and I’ve seen the effect on my appearance in growing my hair out from a chin length bob. I look better with longer hair. On people who it does suit, it is an awesome haircut. My sister, for example, has a 20s style bob but with longer bangs, and she looks beautiful. I like a low maintenance wash-and-go style, and a bob doesn’t suit this at all.

Don’t get a bob if you have a round face. I got my hair cut yesterday and she messed up my cut and turned it into a bob…and it looks horrid. Just don’t even consider it if you’ve got a chubby face or too broad of a jaw.

I think that I would be too chicken to cut my hair to be above my shoulders, though this hairstyle definitely suits some people!
