Bob Hairstyle

Just like with clothes and dresses, trends in hair styles also change from season to season. We may be in the middle of the year, but it’s never too late to catch up with what’s in and trendy. In terms of black women hair styles, here are the TOP 5 trendy black hair styles this year!

Pixie Cuts are perfect if you have really short hair. This style is one of the hottest black hair styles today. Get the look posed by the classy Audrey Hepburn and be glamorous! But if you do not feel the aura of pixie back in the days, you can get a more updated version of pixie cuts like that of Rihanna. This cut has more geometric shape on and is definitely modern because of the asymmetrical style. Not only it is trendy, the cut also is of low maintenance and hassle-free. Quick touch-ups and styling in minutes is enough to make you ready for the day.

Black bobs are also in this year. Again, Hollywood singer Rihanna is responsible for bringing back this hair style in the cover pages of magazines and TV screens. This hair style can be worn with or without bangs, just make sure that you have it in comfortable length. Otherwise, the full effect of the bob would be wasted.

Ultra sleek and straight hair is an excellent black women hair style. You simple can never go wrong with it, especially if you have black, silky hair. Or, you can use your preferred straightening tool to tame your wavy hair, and pose a different hair style. Just avoid using harsh straightening chemicals for less hair damages.

The classic braided hair style is also hot this year, like it was in the past years. In fact, it is one of the classic black women hair styles. Not only it puts your hair in its natural state, it is also very easy to maintain without the use of many styling products.

For any shape or hair length, there is certainly a suitable cut of bangs. Having sassy bangs can be achieved by chopping off a few hair strands. Also, updating this style is possible even without having a complete haircut.

At first glance, summer 2009 blockbuster movies appear to offer very little in the way of stylish inspiration for hair and clothing. But there’s always something new to learn about fashion when it comes to contemporary film, and 2009 is no exception.

Because movies like “X-Men Origins: Wolverine, “Star Trek, and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen are not likely to brim with the very latest in trendy chic, one is obliged to dig deeper. As it turns out, the summer blockbusters have much to say about how hair and clothing styles are likely to evolve during the coming months.

Flat irons have been indispensable for a few years now. Regardless of length, cut or style, as long as it’s straight, it works. But if summer blockbusters are any indication, dust off your wide-barrel curling iron and find a waving iron, shop for 30’s and 40’s vintage pieces before they all disappear, and add a great shade of red lipstick to your makeup collection, just in case.

The latest hair trend for spring is “mermaid waves” like those worn by Rita Hayworth in the 1940’s. This sophisticated look is refined to an art form by Diane Kruger and Melanie Laurent in “Inglorious Bastards,” along with classic 40’s clothing styles like snug, sexy tops and over-the-elbow gloves. Even Marc by Marc Jacobs included a selection of 40’s-inspired styles in the spring collection.

Another fashion trend for summer is the retro look worn by Marion Cotillard in “Public Enemies,â€? combining a wavy bob with vintage 30’s clothing. If you’ve already got your bob and want to keep it a bit longer without looking dated, add some soft waves to look chic, or mess it into a bed head bob to look sexy.

More evidence of waves and curls to come appears in “My Life in Ruins,” starring Nia Vardalos. Vardalos’ character has the long, layered, flowing hair of today, but it’s curly. Vardalos also combines today’s gauzy, girlie and soft fashions with headbands and red lipstick to great effect.

Miley Cyrus, in “Hannah Montana: The Movie,â€? wears a blond wig featuring a casual but fetching version of shoulder length hair. With long deep bangs, angled sides and a few inches off the back, Hannah’s hair and makeup are fresher and younger than ever. The hair/wig is straight on top, falling into (you guessed it) the merest suggestion of soft waves on the bottom. And Hannah tones down her usual bling with fashion-forward outfits just a bit more classic and tender.

Finally, there is Sacha Baron Cohen in “Bruno” to inspire us. Bruno is included because (A) the movie is all about fashion, (B) Bruno sports a gay-guy version of the Pixie, one of spring’s hottest hair looks and, (C) Bruno is not afraid to be Bruno. You may not like his style, but he doesn’t really care.
